Extremely simple to use, inexpensive camera?

I have a friend who is not extremely technically savvy.

Can you recommend a very simple to use camera? The fewer buttons, knobs, and settings the better.

It needs to be somewhat disposable as it will be around grandkids and the like.

Thanks!

Even the most basic point and shoots tend to have a lot of settings that can bewilder the technologically illiterate. I am dealing with this now. A camera phone is truly the least complicated.

Ended up with a canon a4000is.

Simple, dirt cheap, decent pics.

Handing a $500 iPhone5 to the grand kids to take pictures is a terrible idea!

The a4000is is great esp considering it's price. For $100 or less and multiple color options, it's a good family cam.
