Received email saying my $40 rebate was received and was being processed..clicked on link and here is the following bad news:

"Tracking Results: Rebate Submission StatusRebate: Variable Reward Check

Rebate Information For: 24910****
Promotion: Up to $40 Mail In Rebate with Purchase of Select Hard Drives at Circuit City
Submission Type: MAIL-IN
Received On: 07-23-2007
Status Detail: Invalid.
Invalid Reason: Invalid Purchase Price"

In the past when I bought a rebate deal instore and did not a rebate form printed out I just printed off the rebate form off CC's site and it was approved with no problem..NOT THIS TIME!!

Anyone else get this or maybe lucky enough to get approved..

This belongs either in Rebate Tracking Thread or Brag & Moan - Tates/Moderator

I've run into this before with CC. They are very specific about the price you have to pay in order to get the rebates. If you do anything to reduce the price below that specified price, they won't give you the rebate.

This is why I usually only do buisness with staples. I always get their rebates, they come very quickly, and I don't have to mail anything out. Can't say that about any other retailer I know.
