Extremely low Hard Drive Benchmarks on SiSoftware...

For some reason, my new 80 gig, 7200 rpm, ata 133 Maxtor hard drive is benchmarking lower than a 5400 rpm hard drive. I'm using the right type of cable. I'm sure of that. My old 20 gig, 7200 rpm, ata 100 maxtor used to bench much higher with the same exact cable. The IDE channel has no other devices on it. I'm just wondering what the problem is, or whether the benchmarks are just wrong.

By the way, I'm running a Shuttle AK35GTR on Win XP, if that makes a difference. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

DMA is enabled.... the disk is in one partion of 80 gigs... and the file format hasn't changed. I'm still clueless as to what the problem is.
