Extremely large data files

I have generated some data files that are several hundred thousand rows long with five columns. Excel isn't too happy about that and will only let me have about 65,000 of them in a column and only plot 32,000 of them in a series. Is there a cheap/free program that I can use to plot really large data sets, or am I going to have to write something myself?
 
rrdtools can do this, iirc

mrtg could probably do this

there is a few other open source options that work with RRD iirc
