Extremely frustrating problem with Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse

After reinstalling Windows XP I am finding myself increasingly frustrated with these two. First of all, whenever I am in Firefox and a page is loaded (or, seemingly, whenever there's any kind of activity on the computer), the mouse cursor stutters and is just generally erratic. There are times it works fine, but if a page isn't finished loading and I want to move it around - good luck. The keyboard exhibits similar problems - not all keystrokes are always recorded and sometimes some buttons stick - I'll press Backspace once and it deletes everything in its way. What could be the problem? Needless to say, the batteries are fully charged and all the latest drivers are installed.

Are there separate receivers for each product? I'm going on a bit of a limb here but it could be interference if there are 2 receivers and the channels are close together.

Yeah, separate receivers. But they didn't use to cause a problem before, which is what puzzles me...can it be alleviated at all if that's the case?

well if the problem is recent and this is an existing setup then im not sure. Has anything changed recently (i.e. location of the receivers etc.).
Are you using setpoint drivers or just winxp basic?

Setpoint drivers and the problem only started after a reinstall of Windows. Perhaps the motherboard drivers I installed aren't as stable as the ones that came with the actual hardware on CD...that's the only thing I can think of.

Bluetooth by chance? Haven't looked those two up so I don't know off the top of my head. I know the MX5000 set has been plagued with Bluetooth problems that make your mouse stutter and lag at random times, as well as the keyboard lagging and getting keys to keep repeating. I've had my MX5000 replaced my Logitech and it still exhibits the problems.. with Setpoint or not.

Logitech has something wrong with their wireless stuff.. I remembered I toyed with the MX3200 set while the MX5000 was being replaced and it would lag/stutter also.

Have you installed the Logitech software?
Do you have anything in the way? Bottles, for instance, can give some problems.
