EXTREMELY AGP sensitive Geforce2 GTS?

Hi,
I just replaced my Geforce DDR with my brother's Geforce2 GTS (he wanted the tv-out, i wanted the extra speed). Before that, I was running a succesfull ABIT KT7/Athlon-c 850 overclock of a 110mhz fsb. This resulted in 935/147 core/mem. Now that I replaced the cards (all else equal), i get incredible tearing/z-buffer problems in games (well i only have UT installed, so in that game).
After trying various different things (including underclocking the card to even 150/250 levels, standard 200/333, without any results). I came to the conclusion that only running my fsb to a maximum of 101mhz fsb kept the problems from cropping up. Seeing how this results in only a 859/134 core/mem setup, i'm really disappointed (i put a lot of money in the mushkin memory, guaranteed CL2 @150mhz, so you understand that that won't do).
Now my question, how do I keep the visual anomalies from cropping up? BTW the system is also a lot more prone to crashing now.

Things i tried (and which failed):
Underclocking the video card
Trying newer drivers (i use 23.11, the newer 28.something just gave me more problems than i already had).
Things i think that can work but need confirmation be4 doing:
Increasing AGP voltage/Drive strength (voltage: if it's supported in my bios, haven't checked yet, Drive strength: there's something in my bios with EA/DA etc.)
Better cooling on vid chip (but doubt that will help coz of underclocking card didn't)
Other drivers (older ones, but I need a pointer which becoz of the extreme amount of nvidia driver 'releases' out there)
Other bios options that ensure better signal clarity? (if I pump up my cpu's voltage, will it make any difference?)

Last thing you should know (probably?): The card came with a dell computer, so it isn't any specific brand (by dell?). Could it be that Dell 'locks' their card only to work with dell 'puters (via bioses)? It may be paranoid thinking, but I've heard other companies did it be4 (like hewlett-packard of packard-bell, not sure). I'm also not shy of using a soldering iron if it's really necessary ;).

Anyway, i'm changing back to my ddr if i can't resolve this issue, the extra 33mhz mem just isn't worth that to me (xtra core mhz bottlenecked by mem...).

Thx for listening/answering (if you got this far)
Erik

Try changing the AGP speed from 4X to 2X. This change barely reduced my 3DM2K benchmarks and made the card stable at higher FSB speeds (and higher overclocks).

Your really not going to see much of an improvement with the GTS anyways. I've had both cards. My old GF256 DDR scored 3180, and my old GTS scored 3894 on 3DMark2001. Not any real world difference if you ask me. My Visiontek GF3 (original- not Ti) was by far the best performing card I've had, but my newest Gainward GF2 Ti450 (250/400 stock) is the best bang for the buck I've owned.

I also had the DDR and the GTS on an Abit KT7-Raid. I used detonator destroyer to remove old drivers and found the best drivers to be the 22.50's with both my GF256 DDR and the GTS. Try those and see how it is.
