Do not try this! This is crazy!
I first tried to just smear nail polisher over all the coils, to no avail..
So finally I tried a very desperate approach, I drilled the chokes in order to get to the coils themselves. Then I smeared nail polisher straight on the coils. Also, this was to no avail. I know, this was crazy, but the card is still working.
I finally hit the big drum and ordered 2x Gigabyte GTX 670 Windforce 3x and a Corsair Graphite 600T Special Edition White. The reference MSI GTX 670 (With the Accelero Twin Turbo II) will go in my secondary system along with the CM Storm Scout.
You may ask why I need 2x GTX 670? Well, I've found out I don't like V-Sync. And it seems I can avoid screentearing with it disabled if I stay way past 60 FPS (80 + FPS) in many games. Also, I ordered the 600T because I've drooled over it for a long time, and because the Gigabyte cards won't fit in my CM storm scout. Oh, and those Gigabyte Windforce 3x cards looks very nice, and hoping for no coil whine since they are not reference, and since they have a 5-phase power delivery.
A few pictures from my extreme effort to making the coils shut up:
