Interesting.I use the Mx700 and it's a great mouse.
I'll have to check for prices here and take a look.

I paid £70 for this Mx700 but it has been worth it.
Not looking forward to seeing the price for this new one here.Obviously they will have to make really expensive just because they can 8(

What the hell is that flash pop up that's covering up the article? I can't get rid of it.

I got the mx1000 yesterday and love it!

very fast, responsive and a lot lighter then i expected. you'll have to get used to the scrollwheel though, it's doesn't "click" as strong as the other models.

the only thing i haven;t figured out yet is how to configer all the buttons for games. especially the application button sucks in games.. you can figure out why.

but it's a great piece of hardware.

side buttons look to fidgety for gaming (for me anyway), and theyre a big necessity to me (main reason i stick with my intellimouse, and consider mx510 most likely upgrade atm). Perfer cords also.

but, may well be interested in a mx810, 1010 or whatever they call the mx510-market segment version.

i work for a hardware reseller. i saw that one of the big 4 distributers got a couple thousand of them, and immideately ordered one. just ? 55,00 (about the same as 55 dollar) but 'that's the buying price of all resellers, so you shouldn't see it in stores for anything less then 65.

OK so we need the 20x precision at a microscopic level with the real laser tracker?
