I didn't find that a bit funny but then again I feel sorry for fat people in that other thread.

Why don't the people who laughed at the fat people thread and said all they have to do is stop eating join this thread and explain why this guy just needs to spit it out?

He's not stuttering by choice. The fat people (what thread is this?? I missed it) are perfectly capable of not being fat in most cases. They just choose to be lazy.
Then why doesn't he stutter when he says "sorry"? He could talk right if he wanted to. :goat:

It's a speech impediment. Some words end up being hard for him to say vs. other words.
Face it, he is stuttering by choice. He can say "sorry" over and over without stuttering but can't even say his first name on the phone.

See how cruel it is to judge people's afflictions?

He can't help it anymore than a morbidly obese person can stop being hungry. You just don't get it.

OMFG you're such an idiot... This is the poorest example you could possibly think of.. Just because he can say sorry, doesn't mean that he has the choice not to stutter.. I remember when I was at a friends house when I was 8 and his little bro and sis would say tree instead of three everytime they tried to say the #3, eventually they stopped saying it but I would doubt they had a choice to not say it incorrectly... Look, people aren't born fat, they become it, in the case the person has a medical condition, then I can understand, otherwise, fat people in general are just unmotivated..

Stuttering is a physiological problem, not a mental one.

You're an idiot. I stutter sometimes, but I'm fine with my speech. I have problems with certain letters, like M, N and B. It's how the word is formed that makes me stutter... I can say milk just fine, but something like the letters "NLS" would make me stutter the N and say "En-En-En-LS"

I didn't realize stuttering impaired reading comprehension as well.

So sad. There are many technologies that can help. Apparently the problem is a result of a lack of "sync" between what they hear and their brain processing. Many stutters were nearly completely "cured" after doctors attached a hearing aid that would delay the hearing of sounds by a half second. For some reason, when a stutterer speaks, but hears anything he says .5 (or whatever number it is) later than actually spoken, it "syncs" up everything. Pretty amazing stuff and amazing insight into how we work.

If I was that lady I probably would've hung up, because it sounds like a prank call or something.
I didn't laugh one bit, because I was always skeptical of the whole video taped thing. To me it is either fake/staged or something like that, but ofcourse it can be a medical issue.
