It was actually pretty cool, too many decorators IMHO because of the pointless fighting.

What did they end up changing to the house? I was flipping around upstairs and saw the end where they gave the guy a new car, that's it.

They pretty much gutted the place, looks nothing like before.

They never told the budget, but it had to be 100k or so. They complete changed that whole house. They also gave the guy a new Ranger.

Monster House is good too, but is not even close to what Extreme Home did. And the budget was WAY over 100k. They had close to 50 people on site and worked 24 hours a day. Lots of OT. And they didn't skimp on furnishings and materials.

One has to wonder about the quality of the workmanship. I realize they may use skilled workers but when you're working under such time constraints, there's definitely the temptation to cut corners. It would be interesting if they'd go back to one of these houses a year later and interview the homeowner to see if they're still satisfied.

I was thinking the same thing since the contractors were still laying down tile in the bathroom when the family pulled up!
