I have a P4 540J and don't oc (much). The best air cooling I gotton so far (tried several) is with a Gigabyte GH-ED521 HSF. The 108 mm fan can crank up to about 3750 rpm and gives me 8-10 C lower than either the stock HSF or an AC freezer7 - idle in the 40s C, game in the 50s. Room temp 75-80F.
The situation is so bad that I think water is the way to go, for me.
The Waterchill Antartica T775 Cooler may solve the probllem, then I might be able to clock ! But it is gonna cost me if I go tto water cooling.
Gonna check out this Gigabyte GH-ED521 HSF specs...I have tryed loads as well..Zalman 700. Nexus PHT-7750 SkiveTek was a bit better but I think the 80mm fan let it down in the end....the ASUS star ice is like a F-17.
If you REALLY want extreme cooling for less, wait for the Zalman CNPS9500-Cu to debut in mid-September. It's air-cooled and can compete with almost all watercooling systems, except for the most extreme (Dangerden).
liquid nitrogen!! Sounds lize an exellent soluton. How exactly do you incorporate it as a PC cooling method, how much does it cost, don't think my local computer shop will have any..lol

Thank you very muc for bringing it to my attention.
I actually know someone that makes dry ice/liquid nitrogen coolers. They are basically big copper cylinders, and the guy mills in little 'nubs' at the bottom for increased surface area.
