BE-2400 X2

$106 combo

Mine beats yours in value per dollar I think. (though you have to buy a seperate cpu cooler for mine, so add $15....still worth it for the difference in the IGPs alone)

BE-2400 = 2.3Ghz
X2 4050e = 2.1Ghz

great value!! yes
but again you need to buy cooler... so thats like $30 on top my combo.
oh btw the 4050e can be overclock easily to 2.3Ghz ;)

Cooler is not $30. There are $7 coolers (with $8 shipping and handling) on par with what comes with the in box amd processors.
Anyhow, I'd say the big diff is the 780g platform over the 690g. A southbridge that doesn't suck + way better graphics with hardware video decoding? Yes please.
Or if ultra cheap is the name of the game, a 740V platform might be cheaper. (690G graphics plus sb700 southbridge)

Not that hot though. I have a box with a 780G and 4850e and I have to run orthos SFF and cover the vents to feel any heat.

The neat thing is hybrid crossfire. Sure, you can throw a 3450 into an E2200 box and have decent graphics, but you can throw that card in the 780G board and use hybrid crossfire and have much better gaming performance overall.

The 780G IGP is easily overclocked too.
