You're Kidding?......Right?

no actually i'm not.. i mean i know it takes babies time to understand things.. but you have certain levels of understanding/memory... such as when you touch a hot stove you remove your hand very quickly and do not do it again... he did it again, therefore i stand by my original statement claiming hes stupid

I think it's safe to say that the snake has been defanged. I don't see how the baby is supposed to determine that it's a danger without any feedback. The snake is bobbing about, making noises, and batting at the kid's head. Most babies I've met would be rather amused at such antics.

When I was old enough to sit up on my own, and crawl reasonably well, I tried to pet a cat, Harry. He wasn't sure what the heck this new pink critter was wandering around, but it wasn't particularly combative. Harry just hissed at me, and I immediately jolted backward, plopped down on my rear end and stared at him wide-eyed. It took some encouragement from my parents, for both myself and the cat, that neither of us was a threat to the other. After awhile, when I'd learned to walk, I'd sling him over my shoulder and carry him around; he'd just hang there, limp, quietly waiting. He probably weighed about a third of what I did at the time. He was a very patient cat. 🙂

I guess it depends on the baby. I'd probably have freaked out the second that snake touched my head.

Ack, dammit, now I've posted in both snake threads. Curses!
