Did anyone else catch the season finale of Extras last night? I think that was my all-time favorite episode. "I didn't think I needed to write you out a whole list of activities you shouldn't do at work that would include tossing off over a pen!"

I love the show, but I must admit it annoys me that it takes them two years to produce a 6-episode series. It's definitely a very carefully-written series, and they have to rope in one or two celebrities for each episode, but I still can't see why it takes so long to produce.

They did season 1 in 2005 and season 2 in 2006. Ricky Gervais has other things going on like his standup tour, guest appearances, writing books and the podcasts. Plus the BBC don't need more than 1 season a year and I doubt RG would want to do it.

Good ending, possibly series finale from what I've heard. They were definitely turning him into a jerk to his friend this season, glad to see they redeemed the relationship. I loved him saying "dead" during the operation game.

I guess if it is the series finale, at least they went out on a high note. That was just side-splitting. I really liked how prominently they featured Stephen Merchant this season - that guy is hilarious.
