Extracting exe's without installing them

Hey I am on a pc at school and I cant install a game demo cause of restricted rights. I was wondering if there were any free apps that I can use that I dont have to install to run that I can use to open up the game exe file which will allow me to just put the files in the Program Files dir so that I can run and play it. I already tried renaming the file to zip and opeing it that way, but it wont work that way like they sometimes do.
