extract files from .exe

I think files inside .exe's are called resources?

w/e theyre called, I want to extract the files from a stylexp *.exe file so I dont have to install their crap

How do I do this?

installing winrar should let you right click on the exe and choose extract here. but it only works on certain exe's

The winrar solution only works on self extracting compressed files. If it's an installer file, then winrar probably won't help. Also, if it's an installer, then I'm not sure if editing the resources would do much.
