extra thermal tape sticks out a little. Is that ok?

I just got some thermal tape and put a small P200 fan on my clock generator. I didn't measure the thermal tape perfectly though so some extra tape hangs out a little bit. Is that ok? I tried to cut the excess tape off but I couldn't get it all off.
 

No. You should worry. What if someone looks in your case and sees that.

What will they think of a slob that would do such an unprofessional job.

Oh no! Good thing my hsf is about 4 times the size of the clock generator so you can't see the bad tape job at all. ;-)
