Extra Protection or Extra Lubricant

I was looking to get some more shaving cream last night and I could decide which would be better for preventing nicks and general razor burn, extra protection or extra lubricant. I ended up with the extra lubricant because I have less trouble when my razor?s gel strip is new, than when it dries out.

Which would you choose and why?

Sheesh. I use Dial Bath Soap, Dial Antibacterial Soap, or whatever other soap is handy, with a Bic disposable razor. Kill two birds with one stone. Face washed & shaved all at the same time!

When I used to wet shave I did it in the shower. I would use olive oil based bath soap.
No burn, no nicks and like a babies butt smooth. Kiss My Face soap from Trader Joe's. 🙂

It's all a marketing scam. I've been shaving for nearly 20 years and I've tried every type of Edge shaving Gel. I don't notice one bit of difference between the various types of gels, thus I buy whatever is on sale.
