i have a generic case with 1 front intake, 1 side intake, and 1 rear exhaust.

my power supply is a 450antec with a fan one on side and another fan in the rear.
the power supply is mounted within the case towards the top so that the side fan(intake) is facing down and the rear(exhaust) is facing towards the back.

i notice that the rear exhaust fan of the power supply is removing hot air slowly (slower then my 2600rpm case exhaust). I want to increase the speed of the psu exhuast, how would i go about doing this? should i just add a stronger fan and screw it to the back of the psu? or should i replace the fan inside of the psu? if i replace the fan of the cpu with a 2600rpm 80mm fan, would it run at 2600rpm? or would it run at something else.

my chasis temp is 30c and cpu is 45c. i know the temps are good, but cooler is better :D

Many Thanks.

It would run at whatever it's rated to run at, unless the PSU is controlling the voltage output to the fan based on an internal temperature measurement. I don't know if your p/s does that or not...

I would replace the internal fan. I believe the SmartPowers do alternate voltage, but I am not sure based on what. My roomate just got a 350 and it is very quiet with nothing attached, but quite load under load. You could always power the fan externally or something if you want to skip this.
