Wait. It will probably go away. If you try to withdraw it and then it goes away you could end up overdrawn. ATMs are not the best source of info on current balances.

Go to your banks website and log in to your account. You should be able to see that transaction and possibly where it came from.

Could be a mistake on the teller's part too.

Back in December, I deposited $300 in cash at a teller at my bank. It never showed up in my account. I went into the bank and they checked into it while I was there (still had my deposit slip). Turns out the person at the clearinghouse thought the "3" in my account number on the deposit slip was a "5" and put the money in someone else's account.

The bank withdrew it from their account and put it in mine while I waited.

So yeah, spend the money and chances are you'll be overdrawn when the mistake is noticed. It WILL be noticed, especially with $1000. I'd call the bank when they open Monday and tell them.

Yup. It's not all 'mysterious'. They'll certainly notice $1000 missing somewhere.

Withdraw all the cash and then start an account at another bank... wait, that would be dishonest. :(

Don't worry about it, they will figure it out. ;)
