i had enough part laying around so i threw another machine together...nothing fancy, in fact old by todays standards - i865pe based m/b, 1.7GHz P4, 256MB ram, gf4ti4200, 20GB HDD, DVD-Rom. already have 3 others running fine, didn't need this but had the parts...

i already have a 'server' machine that does my web, ftp, print, game servers and handles all the backup files.....

what should i do with it? linux? if so what flavor?

nah, hook it up to your tv, as a N64 emu, dvd player, up to your amp as a tunes player, and if you get a tv card use it as a tv recorder/enjoy some time shifting ;)

If you don't have any nice high-resolution computer monitors either, then yeah I guess an HDTV tuner wouldn't do you a whole lot of good :p
