I need an externial cdrw for work and I'm looking at a couple of brands. A Lite-on LXR-40122A and a TEAC CDW552E. I was wondering if anyone has used either of these. I'm leaning towards the Lite-On. Opinion needed. Thanks.

Like Boonesmi posted, all of the external CDRW drives are pretty solid at this point, and I too am a big fan of Lite-on drives from past experience :)

Thanks for the info. I have a Lite-on in one of my home units, but have never used an external one. Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down.

external units are just internal cdrw drives that are put in an external enclosure (but the drives themself are the same thing)
