External USB Hard Drive

I'm thinking about purchasing an external USB HD. My eyes are on the Fantom drives. What do you think?
 
Bare enclosures are nice since you can use an old spare drive and/or replace a drive when it goes bad. Bytecc at newegg.com is one good brand.

Of course the prebuilt ones can be sleeker and may come with backup software you want to use, while the enclosure will not.
