External USB Hard Drive suddenly not shown in My Computer

I have an external USB hard drive which I've been using for a number of weeks and it works fine. It used to appear normally in My Computer, but at some point it stopped showing there. If I go to My Computer - Manage - Storage - Disk Management the drive shows normally, and I can right click on it and open or explore it. When I do that and try to move up the tree to My Computer, the drive does not show there, and in the drop down address bar, it shows, but not with the other drives in My Computer, but between the Shared Documents Folder and My Network Places. I can use the drive normally that way, and programs can access it and write to it without a problem.

I have this drive shared as a Network Drive, and it also appears properly in My Network Places, and I can access it there.

How can I get it to show again in My Computer? Thanks.

UPDATE!

I've found the problem -- somehow the checkbox for that drive in TweakUI was unchecked (I don't know how, as I haven't even opened TweakUI since before the drive was added, and the drive used to show up, but its okay now).

this may sound extreme but unplug the drive and all other usb devices then go to the device manager and remove the usb root hub shut down windows will find the new hub reinstall the hardware and you should be good to go when you plug in the drive again.
good luck
