How do I make a USB external hard drive visible to the network, I tried mapping the drive but it does not show up when trying to map either.

Any help is appreciated

If you make the Drive Sharable it should appear as an available drive on the computer that it is hooked to.
 
Thanks for the reply Jack, one other thing, is there a way to make the drive letter stick witht he drive? I am using back-up programs to store data on the drive but sometimes when I plug in a USB thumb drive it changes the drive letter of the external hard drive, just wondering.
