External usb cooling... or lighting....

ok heres the thing... i found a dead keyboard from a mac g4.... so i cut the wire off and spliced it open... i took the red and black wire and connected it to a wire that i had gotten from one of those 3pin to 4pin adaptors... for a fan... i plugged in a 60mm delta screamer... and it works fine... altho usb only supplies 5v.... it really makes a difference with the delta... instead of 12v... its much quieter but still moves as much air as my low powered antec 80mm

so now i have it plugged into my keyboard and the fan is sitting on top of my monitor forcing the hot air out and letting the cool air in...
later i plan on making a light... but i need to find some cool led configurations... i was thinking on attaching them to my keyboard or monitor so i can work without a lamp....

one thing to note, each usb port is only able to put out .5 amps... most fans are ok, but ive seen some that would push the limit.
