External Sata to USB enclosure?

I recently mistakenly purchased an 80gb SATA Western Digital HD that I had intended to use in my sisters college computer. Unfortunately her machine doesnt have sata ports so I need to run out and buy an IDE HD for her tomorrow and get everything installed since she's leaving in two days.

This leaves me with an extra 80gb sata drive. I have sata connectivity in my rig but I already have a 250gb HD that I just installed. I guess I could install it in there, but Ive thought about getting an external HDD for awhile. There isnt alot of sata to usb 2.0 out there, but this is what ive found so far:

One from Newegg

One from Cooldrives

I was wondering if there are any with card readers built in and or anyone has reviews or recommendations of any. I understand the performance hit I will take by going from sata to usb, but I'd kinda prefer the external capability for portability and backing up. I also have an 80gb WD IDE HD that currently has all my data on it, but I dont trust it as a backup or to give to my sister since its 3 years old and is kinda running loud these days.

The one from Cooldrives looks interesting, but I have never seen, nor can I google, anything of a Jimcron chipset. The AMS one has good cooling, and a chipset known to be pretty good (Cypress), as long as you leave the fan on.

Here's an intersting thing, though: does that mean it can come with either?

I'd trust AMS. Them and Kingwin have been at this sort of thing for a long time, and both have excellent designs (I haven't seen a Kingwin SATA->USB for sale, though--just a SATA pass-through).

The kingwin got some bad reviews on newegg, people saying it wasnt recognizing the drive. Thats not too important tho since I dont have an external sata connector and would prefer usb as it is more universal at the moment.

I looked thru there. Those are all external sata. I want internal Sata and external USB 2.0. The one I linked about was the only internal-Sata/external-usb enclosure I saw at Newegg buts its a little bit pricy.

Its cool. I've been looking but havent seen many products, and no reviews. Thats why I came here, to see if anyone had anything to add or let me know about.

Is there anyway you could make one?

These look pretty good - Addonics has a good rep. I have an external SATA case - but it links to a SATA terminal with an external power brick.
