external RAID enclosure

I'm looking for an external RAID [1] enclosure with 2 bays that supports Firewire or USB 2.0. Anyone know of anything like this?

EDIT: No, you're not, LoKe. I thought it was an external enclosure, but it actually sits in your case's drive bays. Not what I want. I'm looking for an external enclosure.

I'm really surprised there isn't a bigger market for FireWire/USB 2.0 external RAID enclosures...

All of my important data is on a 120GB hard drive in a FireWire external enclosure. It's been spinning for a good 2 years now and I'm starting to get a bit nervous.

I think Buffalo and Linksys have some options, but everything I've seen is really expensive.

thanks 64, had idea about this too... does anyone have experience with this stuff, any of the enclosures can have its own IP and have its place within your network or be made visible outside of your network say when you're at your office and you want to access something, maybe stream a video file....

the drives all look like generic makers... no big names here huh....


hopefully i'll find a dual sata harddrive raid external enclosure..
