External power source to plug in computer hardware?

I thought I saw something like this a long time ago, but can't find anything like it now. It was something that could be plugged into a regular outlet and on the other side had a 3-prong end which you could insert like a cd drive, cold cathode, or whatever... any idea what I'm talking about?

No, I read that thread though.

It was one cord that had an electrical outlet plug on one end and the other end had something that a computer fan or cathode could plugin to (like this: http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?image=35-888-003-03.jpg/35-888-003-02.JPG ).
