i have a us robot couriuer v everything v90 external modem

anybody know how to help me?

btw do i put it in the jack or phone outlet?

I have the same modem and XP, and installed it for about a week while my broadband was down recently. It was very straighforward, I believe XP identified the modem, it asked if I wanted to install drivers for it and that was it, I was able to connect. Sounds like that's already been done with yours. Next you have to set up your dial up network settings, the phone number of your ISP and everything in control pannel / network connections. All that info should be supplied to you by your ISP.
As to the question of how do you plug in the phone line to the jack, the phone line plugs into the back of the modem in the closest input to the serial connecter. (That's the cable you've got running from the modem to your computer.) Then just plug that into the phone jack in the wall or where ever yours is and then you should be able to connect online.
