External HDD enclosure that turns off.

HI
For the past 7+ years I have used a Seagate external HD. I'd like to replace it by buying a external enclosure and adding my own HD. One feature of the old Seagate is when the desktop pc is off, the Seagate unit is off.
Are there any external enclosure out there that will power down when the host desktop is turned off? I did a quick look and couldn't find any.
Thanks

Hmm?
They should all be powering off when the host machine powers down. They get sent a shutdown signal.
I don't think I have ever seen a enclosure that doesn't do this.

If the external drive case is 3.5-in, it will have an AC adapter. If that adapter is plugged in to what goes OFF, it will go off.

If it is a 2.5 case, and USB powered, and it is plugged into a powered USB hub, it too will go OFF when the hub goes OFF.
