I've had this drive for a while now.. no problems at all really. My GF's friend was using to put some movies on her laptop (Lenovo T60) and it worked fine. When she was done, she just yanked out the USB drive without doing the safetly remove thing.. I'm not sure if this has to do with my problem or not. But afterwards, my GF hooked it up to hers (same laptop as her friends -- issued by the college) and her computer said "Device not recognizable", Unknown device, etc. They both have Windows XP and I went to check for drivers on maxtor website but all I could find was Windows 98. I really don't think I would even need drivers with XP. I tried plugging it back into her friends computer but it didn't work anymore. What the hell is going on here? Any advice / help would be appreciated. Thanks.
