I'd like some opinions from folks regarding a reliable external USB hard drive for imaging my computer's internal hard drive. Would like something around 500 GB....are they as reliable as a smaller hard drive - or would a 250 be better? (I'd like to have 2-3 images at a time, on this external drive, if that's possible.)

Tried searching for reviews but haven't really found an impartial review - can anyone refer me to any?
 
I would recommend that you buy an internal HD and buy a HD Enclosure for it. If your mobo supports eSATA, it will be as fast as your internal HD's.
