external hard drives?

I am looking for an USB external hard drive that about 350-400gb for some where around $300-400. Does anyone have any suggestions.

I was considering Seagate External 400GB Hard Drive for $310 but never used seagate.

any feedaback would be nice. I have maxtor external II 250 gb that I like but I can see to find the same drive thats more than 300 gb

seagate 7200.8 400gig w/ ncq + enclosure = kthx

seagates make leet hds backed by 5 year warranty.

that site says it only has 1 year manufacture warranty?

One more vote for Seagate. The drives are great, just dont use the bundled software

If you read Seagates's warranty FAQ you will see why. All Seagate drives sold retail in external enclosures are only covered by a 1 year manufacture warranty (EMEA countries have 2 year warranty). The only way around this is to buy the drive and enclosure seperately. Then the drive itself would have a 5 year warranty.
