So, a half hour ago my mom calls me from the other side of the country and (waking me up) asks why her external hard drive won't show up in windows.
A little back story:
From what I understand, this computer uses a mirroring raid-array, and that somehow got hosed in the bios and the raid controller was trying to boot thinking it was a striped array. Anyhow, my mom fixed it (herself!), but after reformatting and such, she couldn't get the external that was connected with a lot of data to be recognized.
I told her the usual pluh-unplug it since it was usb, but when she told me it had all her data from a previous install, I asked her if this computer was running XP Pro. It is.
So, not having experiance with XP Pro, I have come here. Will she ever be able to recover the data on this external drive?
