it's pretty weird...my WD My Book 250GB will operate in USB1.0 mode on all computers except for this ONE USB port on my macbook.
if i plug it into a windows computer, windows tells me the drive can operate faster if it were plugged into a USB2 port. the problem is all the ports i'm plugging it into are USB2. my macbook has 2 USB ports. one of them will make the HDD operate in USB1 while the other will allow it to operate in USB2.
how is this possible? has anyone ever heard of such a problem? thanks in advance for any help.
