Hello,

I am thinking of buying a new external hard drive. I was wondering which one is the best?

I was looking to buy one that is 2TB. I have a WD elements 2TB that I use right now, but it only has a USB 2.0 connection.

Which one is better USB 3.0 or eSATA? I will be using it primarily for storage. I have USB 3.0 and and eSATA connection on my PC.

Also I am not sure which company to buy it from. I heard Seagate has been making lots of duds lately.

Any help is appreciated.

THanks! :)

I just got a SeaGate 1TB external USB 2.0 drive for $50. eSATA will always be faster but if your computer supports USB 3.0, which is 10x faster than USB 2.0, that can be a good option, too. I'd stay with Wester Digital as these, IMHO, are the of the best quality.
