External Enclosure Question

I've been browsing for an external HD enclosure that I would be able to use to backup systems when I fix them. This seems like my number one choice right now, but I'm trying to decide between the standard USB2.0 one or the combo USB2.0/FireWire. All of the sites seem to say that the transfer speed is up to 480MB/s which is USB2.0 Speeds. If that's the max, then is it worth it to get the FireWire version for more money? Or is this simply a lack of keeping the specs current? Any suggestions are great, as well as experiences with this or other Enclosures. Thanks! -steveo

Go with the Combo (even Firewire800 if possible) as Firewire400 is faster then USB Hi-Speed and becoming more popular...fixing OP's you want compatibility.
