external enclosure messing up my hd?

Hi,
I just got a 3.5" external enclosure for my Maxtor 200g hd, which is pretty new and it works great. The problems is that after I put the hd in that enclosure, I can only browse through on partition out of 2 that I have on that hd... each 100g, so basically what I'm trying to say is that I cannot access half of that hd. What the heck it's going on... can't believe that I probably just lost a lot of stuff of that hd.
Anyone ever encountered this problem, or knows anything about it.. any workaround for this, or is it really my hd gone bad once I plugged it in that enclosure?
