External Drive using Powered eSATA 6GBS port and no power adapter

I have an Asus X79 Deluxe which has two powered eSATA 6GBS ports on the back out panel. I was looking for an enclosure and HHD combination that did not require an external power supply and was only powered via the port cable. I don't wish to use a solution that requires two USB connections either. One benefit of the powered eSATA is to use a single cable for power and data. However, I can't seem to find enclosures that support this concept. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

eSATA didn't really take off as a standard, and powered eSATA, even less so.

I suppose some company may have at one point produced a P-eSATA 2.5" HDD enclosure, but they're probably pretty rare. You won't find one for a desktop 3.5" HDD, if that's what you're looking for. The port doesn't supply enough power, I don't think, and you would need both 12V and 5V.

I have two eSATA drives, and each has its own power. I would never even consider one without its own power.

If you want it to take power from one connector, go USB 3.0, with 2.5" drives. eSATA was great for its time, but its time has now gone. By the time they got around to that glaring error of not feeding power with data, it was too late.
