I have one of those nifty SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 bridge adapters Like This
The power supply died and I need a new one (I have been using an old AT PSU) but I want something a little more portable
Anyway is there a better one out there?
The one I had only had three pins
+5VDC/+12VDC and only one ground wire instead of two (Which made it impractical to use with a fan as the missing pin was on the 12V side)
Anyway what I am looking for is a Small PSU that has a 4Pin Molex/LP4 and a 15Pin SATA power connection (That actually has the 3.3VDC lead)
Is the 3.3VDC lead actually needed or will it ever be required for a SATA (2.5" or 3.5") drive specification?
Thanks
