External Adapters

I recently bought a Macbook, the lower end model, which is only equiped w/ a CDRW/DVD combo drive. There is a lot of content creation software that comes with it and I want to burn onto a DVD drive. I have a DVD burner on my desktop, and I want to make it into an external burner. I have seen external adapters for hard drives, but none for CDRWs (I assume b/c they tend to be different dimensions).

Is there any way to make it external or a place that sells them? Or am I going to have to stick with uploading to my desktop and burning from there?

Thanks.

There are external CASES (not adapters) that can take internal optical drives.

Example: DVDRW
