I have one of these drives, and the external case is excellent. I actually pulled the CDRW drive out, and put a DVD burner in it. The only problem is that MadDog is pretty lousy when it comes to rebates

I think this is a decent deal but beware of the Mad Dog rebates. I am still fighting to get two rebates from OfficeMax on two Mad Dog products that I sent in for on 7-13-04. 40.00 from a DVD RW drive and 15.00 for a 5.1 channel sound card. The rebate says 6-8 weeks and it's been 20-21 weeks for me with four phone calls averaging 15-20 minutes each.

Sorry Allisolm, don't mean to thread crap but Mad Dog rebates are less than desireable. On par with the Soyo rebates I am afraid.
