I am a small business owner currently working out of a 5,000 square foot steel building. We recently installed ring cameras and I was able to get them connected to our wi-fi, which works great inside, however I would like to be able to get a better, more consistent connection. I can not hard wire them in and the router is about 50 feet away and through steel walls and roof. I am not super tech savy but doing some research it sounds like I may need to invest in an outdoor extender or access point. Can anyone provide any recommendations on brand or even if I am looking at the right piece of equipment. I tried a basic netgear indoor range extender but it doesn't seem to extend the signal outside at all. Any help is very much appreciated

Since Ring outdoor security camera is WiFi BGN only if I'm not mistaken.

WiFi can not penetrate metal materials. You need to drill a hole and hard wire in.

Install an outdoor AP like https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CG3YRTR outside of the building, and which can connect to the indoor router with wired ethernet, better points at the camera. You then configure the Ring security camera to connect to the TP-Link outdoor AP.

Set a different SSID than the one in the building so you know which one you are connecting to.
