Extending SSD Size

I have Samsung 840 SSD (240 GB) which is running out of space (Thanks to Steam's Summer Sale) ..

I believe that in order to configure RAID, I need to re-install the OS .. If so, is there a way to extend this drive without the need to re-install the OS? It's really a boring task ..
 
If it is a boot drive, no. If it is a data drive, then you can use Windows software RAID to extend the volume onto another drive.
 
There are registry tweaks out there to allow RAID without needing a re-install, but it doesn't always work. I tried it and Win7 just never worked right afterwards, with my media drive disappearing completely, and boots taking FAR longer than it should have. I agree with Davethemaster3; keep it simple, avoid headaches.
 
You can mount another drive to an NTFS folder location instead of to a drive letter. (So C:\Steam could redirect to another SSD.)
 
Thanks all for valuable inputs ..

For now .. I'll stick to what I have and try to reduce the number of installed games .. Eventually, if i really get stuck, I will get a small SSD (say 128GB) for games installation .. I know it's not optimal and consumes more power, but still easier than the hassle of re-installing OS
