Extending my wifi to another Wifi router (wired)

Curacao

Hi I want to extend my Wifi signal by using a second wifi router, connected to first one by a wire (not wirelessly). I've tried it wirelessly with several devices but the second router or extender keeps losing the signal from the main router. I am tired of it so I decided to pull a wire (which is already in place).

I want all the connected devices to be able to access the same network resources (network drives etc). The second router will be a DD-WRT router.
I have searched but I can't seem to find a solution for what I want to do...
If you kmow where I can find a solution or if you have one, please help!

Thanks!

DD-WRT maybe be able to turn your router into a AP. Check to see as I have not used it in years.

If not you can do a NAT insides a NAT. To do this set the first router IP and DHCP scope to lets say 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.x). The second router(inside) should have firewall disabled, receive things like broadcasts and should have a 192.168.2.1 (192.168.2.x) config.

Hope this helps.
