Extending DVI-D Over Long Distances

Is there a nice way of extending DVI-D over long distances (say 30 feet)? Video cables are so thick and clumsy I can't believe there isn't a nice thin fibre optic DVI cable somewhere? Does anyone have any experience of this?

Yes you can get it on a fiber optic cable... It cost quite a bit though... couple hundred bucks. I don't have link but I'm sure someone will come along with one.
 
Here you go. I'd do some serious shopping around after deciding I really need that long of a run though.

because it converts electricity to light and then back again? Sounds expensive to me. Its also relatively new stuff so it has that much highier of a price.
