Extended warranty with C1 VISA?

It appears that just from using my C1 Visa card, all I have to do is send in my warranty card and stuff and I'm automatically eligible to double my warranty on anything I buy? Is that how this works?

1) Call VISA at 1-800-882-8057 give them your VISA credit card number and ask if you're eligible for warranty manager?
2) Ask them how does it work?
