Probably a stupid question, but let me lay it on you.

Would you keep the 3 year mail in warranty that you have on your dell laptop, or would you spend $160 now for 4 years of at home service with a $100 rebate?

Basically would you spend $60 more to go from 3 years of mail in service to 4 years of at home service?

For an extra $60 I would do it. At home plus the additional year makes it worth it.

I would keep the 3 year service, if something horrible happens to your computer and the guy wont be able to fix it in your house, then you will have to send it in anyways so why not send it in in the first place?

Although I doubt I would keep a laptop for 4 years I think for an extra $60 I would do it.

The warranties are transferable aren't they?

Yea, it would make it easier to sell down the road, but if I keep it, I would hope something major would go wrong 3-4 years down the road so that I could get a new lappy :)
