extended warranties and where to go

I got an extended warranty after my factory 4-year was up. Warranty Direct is pretty reputable and I couldn't go without one seeing the costs of repairs and the history of what I've had to deal with. My question is do extended warranty people go back to the dealer where they may up-charge or do I still find a good indy garage? I think some don't do warranty work. What's the common route?

All depends on the warranty company and the place you take it. It's just like health insurance. Some doctors are setup to make claims with your health insurance company, others aren't.

I always buy the manufacturer's extended warranty and go to the dealer for service.
